One of my dearest friends that I will ever have in this lifetime is someone that has never judged me no matter what, always standing by my side. I made this piece for her, taking inspiration from a sermon that I heard at her church one cold Sunday morning.

Every season has it’s struggles, see the end.

I was asked to do a custom piece, a dragon. I immediately felt out of my comfort zone, something I’ve never done, let alone something that I’ve never really taken interest to.

stepping out of my comfort zone is when some of my best pieces have been created.

Dragon painting accompanied by M83 lyrics.

This was my main piece at the ETA (expose the artist expo) I’m not sure what inspired me to do an elephant piece, maybe just the fact that I haven’t done one yet. When the inspiration for it hit me I ran with it, and this was the result.

I will be participating, along with a handful of fellow artist’ in an event that The Singularity is putting on in Jackson MI on October fourth called Emerge The Artist. I am very excited for this event, and have been working hard to produce a variety of paintings, and framed pieces that will have all different elements to them. Check out The Singularity by clicking the link above, give them a like, and stay tuned for more information on this event!

Lately I’ve been into thrifting beautiful frames, or just a simple frame that stands out to me, and creating pieces and giving them these frames to live in.

Acrylic on Canvas, 11×14

Yesterday we had a going away party at my work for one of the most amazing woman I’ve been blessed to meet. I’ve been lucky to learn all that I have from her, and the pleasure to get to know her as a friend. Sad to see her go, but sometimes the future holds bigger and better opportunities for us. I made her this painting, as her going away gift. Acrylic on watercolor paper.
